Our customer called us up out of Hilliard, Ohio and stated they had lost their key fob while they were watching their kid play in a soccer tournament at the Hilliard Soccer Complex. The client tried looking for the lost keys with the help of other parents to no success. They wondered how they would be able to drive it with a missing key. Searching thru Google and Facebook, our customer finally found the perfect locksmith for the job with Bryman's Locksmith that services Hilliard, OH.
We received the call, and got straight to work, getting at the job exactly 15 minutes later due to our convenient location off of Cosgray Road, we were able to get to Scioto Darby Creek in no time flat. Once we arrived, we greeted the customer and let them explain their lost key situation to us. We recommended that we first unlock the car to make sure the keys are not locked inside, potentially saving them money if a key does not need to be cut and programmed. All areas of the car were checked, under the seats, the back area, under the floor mats, even in the trunk to no success. We both came to the conclusion that it would be best for both parties if a replacement key fob was made to the vehicle so they could start it and leave.

Luckily Bryman's Locksmith had the correct OEM key in stock for their 2015 Subaru Outback. We first determined what the key code would be by looking up the VIN vehicle information with the help of our key code broker. We use them at various times when there is no key code information available on the vehicle. Just like a dealership, they keep on file every code for every vehicle on the road today. This makes your key only work for your car and your car only. Once that was done, it worked smoothly in the door lock and the ignition switch to both lock and unlock as well as rotate to the ON position. The key won't start though until it gets programmed using Subaru dealer programming for security reasons serving as an anti-theft feature so the car cannot be stolen. Having dealership access to SSM4 is key to being able to program the fob to the vehicles ECU, like we have. After the programming was completed, the vehicle was able to start up and lock and unlock the doors. The customer was very appreciative of the quickness of the job as well as saving them money from getting it towed away.

Dealerships can charge over $2500 for a key replacement sometimes, which is why it is smart to shop around sometimes. We can cut and program a new key to just about any truck or car on the road today, not just Subarus. With our extensive range of keys in stock, we have something guaranteed to work for your vehicle.
